The townspeople and news media are puzzled that Christmas seems to be missing! The "man-on-the-street" newsman interviews people of different professions, but none have any answer to the dilemma. He rebuffs the paperboy for trying to sell him a paper. After the child’s much persistence, he finally listens to him and is stunned to find where Christmas was all along.
